Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to OpenDrop. OpenDrop is a platform that enables creators to send reward codes — such as gift cards — to their audience through social media identities. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the OpenDrop website, applications, and services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you may only use the Service with the involvement of a parent or guardian. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that do not meet these eligibility requirements.

3. Use of the Service

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may not:

  • Use the Service for any fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
  • Attempt to interfere with, compromise, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity
  • Use automated systems or software to extract data from the Service without our prior written consent
  • Distribute spam, malware, or other harmful content through the Service

4. Creator Responsibilities

Creators who send reward codes through OpenDrop are solely responsible for the validity, value, and accuracy of the codes they provide. OpenDrop does not validate gift card balances, verify reward code authenticity, or guarantee that recipients will be able to successfully redeem any reward. Creators are responsible for ensuring they have the right to distribute any reward codes they submit through the Service.

5. Claim Process

To claim a reward, recipients must verify their identity through OAuth authentication with the relevant social media platform (e.g., Twitch). This verification confirms that the claimant matches the intended recipient. OpenDrop does not store payment information or process financial transactions. Once a reward code is revealed to the verified recipient, the claim is considered complete and irreversible.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, branding, logos, and documentation, is the property of OpenDrop and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any content you submit through the Service. By using the Service, you grant OpenDrop a limited, non-exclusive license to use your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. OpenDrop does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. OpenDrop makes no representations or warranties regarding the validity, value, or redeemability of any gift cards or reward codes distributed through the Service.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, OpenDrop and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of the Service. In no event shall OpenDrop's total liability exceed the amount you paid to OpenDrop, if any, in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
